Objectivos
Identificar as características do atual ecossistema mediático, em especial as introduzidas pela Web 2.0, com impacto no campo jornalístico. Habilitar os estudantes à compreensão das especificidades do Jornalismo contemporâneo, com particular incidência nas dimensões de natureza temática ou de linguagem e no conjunto de abordagens inovadoras que têm vindo a ser desenvolvidas.
Programa
1. Impacto do novo ecossistema mediático no Jornalismo: mudanças organizativas; estruturais e de linguagem; reconfiguração de práticas profissionais; 2. Modalidades inovadoras: Jornalismo Literário, Jornalismo Lento, Jornalismo Imersivo, Jornalismo de Dados, Jornalismo Colaborativo, Jornalismo Transmedia, Jornalismo Contextual; 3. Jornalismo especializado: Jornalismo de política, de economia e finanças, de desporto; 4. Questões éticas: cruzamento com outras formas de comunicação; hibridismo; infotainment; emocionalização das mensagens; Jornalismo e ativismo; conflitos de interesse; impacto de tecnologias de inteligência artificial.
Método de Avaliação
Ensaio individual de análise a partir de uma plataforma de comunicação jornalística ou de um tipo de Jornalismo, elaborado de acordo com o Regulamento Geral de Avaliação de II Ciclo, com um máximo de 2000 palavras (excluindo referências bibliográficas; é admitida variação de 10%). Ponderação: ensaio 80%; apresentação e discussão oral 20%. Orientação tutorial: 1 hora por semana, em horário a combinar com os alunos (fora do período de aulas de mestrado).
